Memo #3

To the Greats,

To be aligned is crucial. Without alignment of self, you will drift in the direction of the strongest breeze.

What are you aligned to? A business you run? A company you work for? A family you are part of? A philosophy you believe in? A cause you fight for? The pleasures of the world?

There is no ‘right’ answer, but knowing your north star will separate you from the herd and can help you in getting to your desired destination in good time.

What are you aligned to? Will that change in a week? A month? A year? A decade? How has it changed in the past? How do you see it changing (if at all) in your future?

We all have seasons in life, but if you align yourself to something Great, you will find that all your seasons remain part of the same ecosystem.

Do not build your forest and plant your seeds only to abandon it for a new patch of land aligned to a different end.

Of course it can take time to gain the answers to the big questions of life - such as what you want to align yourself to - but it is a worthy cause to pursue.

What then are you aligned to right now? To what end? How did you come to be aligned to that? Was it your choice? Are you sure? Does it matter?

If you’re reading this, you’re already one of the Greats and so I won’t insult you by asking if you feel it important to be aligned to something, because I already know the answer you will give me.

May your alignment give you the power to rise in the morning and move swiftly forward, irrespective of the obstacles the world will inevitably fling your way.
