Dear Greats,
We love to start anew, to be forgiven for our sins.
Last year we failed… but this year not!
An arbitrary date YET holds symbolic weight!
Thank you heaven for this time, this chance to be reborn anew, what would the masses do without it! Perpetually fall to our lowest form? Stuck in the routine that is our life? Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat. No Thanks!
So here we are. Take a breath ——————— Let’s go!
I want to share a tale with you, it goes like this:
They say I am that guy… The voices in my head. They tell me to ‘press forward’, they tell me ‘not to cry’, they tell me ‘no surrender’ , they tell me ‘go survive!’ , they tell me ‘show me who you are’ , they tell me ‘fight with all your might’, they tell me ‘live, another day, for every day that you do live’.
They tell me ‘go, and do and be!’
They tell me ‘rise and wield your love’, they tell me ‘slay and save your foe’ they tell me ‘you must help’.
They tell me to tell you, that ‘you are mighty and you are true’.
They tell me to tell you, that ‘we are one’ - yes, me and you! They tell me ‘We, The Greats, assemble hand in hand, to pray and learn and grow as one.’
This voice inside my head, I plant it now in yours.
You can, you will!
I’ll meet you there, atop the cherry tree.
This “New Year” I endeavour you to focus.
Take the time to fight yourself, to be what you can be.
Put away the screens and scenes and go inside the world within. Do not come out without the fire, you know… The invigorated passion, from murdering complacency that lies so deep within. It’s not ok, that is the truth, your light is needed, your darkness too, the world calls you, ANSWER, ANSWER, ANSWER. NOW!
Action. Trust yourself, let go of fear, do the reps, you cannot fail.
Act with carefree urgency, today, no not tomorrow!
Think your thoughts but do not linger.
We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act but a habit.
