Dear Greats,
β
One may live without father or mother, but one cannot live without God.β
β Leo Tolstoy, What Men Live By
What Men Live By is a story about the harsh reality of being human, but mostly it is a story about love, for and between people - not romantic - but as a species; the source of which Tolstoy proclaims is God.
Naturally, most will experience life without living parents, some sooner than others - let us pray that we never find ourselves without God, for then we may abandon our connection to the source of goodness and love.
